This vintage charm is unusual in that the two shoes are separate -- most baby shoe charms are cast as a pair of shoes in one piece. The advantage of this charm is that one shoe could be engraved with the name of one baby, and the other shoe with the name of another. The smooth polished soles of the shoes are clearly intended for engraving, but this charm has never been engraved. Marked 14K. Each shoe is 13.3mm (0.52 in.) toe to heel, excluding the bail. Weight 1.9 grams. |
